Wear black this Friday

Dear Friends,
All roads lead to St. Augustine this Friday morning October 27 for the
launch of the newest anti-smelter protest camp on the southern
entrance of the UWI campus.
From 7am to 9am UWI students will distribute flyers at both main UWI
gates. The launch kicks off at 10 a.m at the campsite at UWI's
southern entrance just off the highway , you can't miss it!
And even if you can't be there, please show your support by wearing black.
Also for our London people, don't forget to check out the Funeral of the Wild in Sloane Square at 1pm.

ENOUGH IS NOT BEING DONE. PROTESTS ARE OK BUT WE MUST SEEK HELP FROM THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY THAT IS GENUINELY INTERESTED IN PRESERVING HUMAN LIFE AND THE ENVIRONMENT. TIME IS AGAINGST US. IF YOU ARE A REAL TRINIDADIAN YOU WILL KNOW THIS. THE GOVERNMENT CAN AND WILL RIDE ROUGH SHOD OVER US IF SOMETHING IS NOT DONE ON AN INTERNATIONAL SCALE.

PEOPLE ALREADY LAUGH AT US AS A PEOPLE ----SITTING DOWN AND TAKING ALL THE CRAP THAT IS METED OUT TO US....SO???!!!!

PLEASE WE SHOULD TAKE OUT ALL THE STOPS. MANNING AND HIS CORRUPTED PEOPLE SHOULD NOT WIN THIS ONE.

I SOUL TRINI

I'm listening to the news while reading this blog (it's Sunday night, October 29), and according to news reports the Honourable Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Patrick Manning is planning to build a third smelter plant. That is absolutely atrocious!

From a communications standpoint, we really need more activism in the country, not from the already known activists, but also from the average Jones and Janes. Otherwise, there'll be no T&T for us to enjoy in years to come. And Mr PM claims to know about sustainable development? People are complaining that he isn't listening to them. On a political platform he said that he listens, he jes doh listen to dotishness. I hope Trinbagonians really mobilise and push such insensitivity to people and environment out of powerful positions!
